It was then the first runes were born. Not crafted by mortal hand alone, but summoned… chosen… by forces older than stone, older than spell.
They were not symbols of conquest, but of power and balance — each rune a fragment of meaning, a vessel of ancient truth.
Some carved the rise of kingdoms. Others vanished in shadow, spoken only in whispers. Their names linger, their shapes etched in forgotten scrolls. Their echoes drift in the melodies of wandering minstrels, all but lost in time.

They served as Orth’s living library, scattered after the fall of Valemere.

Mysterious and ever-moving, the Gray Gale were messengers between realms, able to traverse through veils and dimensions. Their power was born of the wind — unseen, swift, and ungraspable. They are said to speak in riddles, yet their warnings have kept Orth from calamity more than once.
